In spring 2022, the last tests for our L.E.S.S. disinfection system have been successfully completed. We are currently working together with our Austrian and German partners on drinking water network projects, which we will present to you shortly.
The L.E.S.S. device technology can cover pipe dimensions from DN80 to DN450 regardless of the pipe material. Pipe lengths of up to 500 m can be sustainably disinfected in one go.
When commissioning the pipes, classic disinfection procedures are currently carried out with hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide. These are already effective methods for many germs and pathogens.
However, it becomes problematic with multi-resistant germs, such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Once this germ has settled in the biofilm, it is no longer possible to sustainably remove it from the pipe with classic disinfection. However, if you rely on the L.E.S.S disinfection system for the treatment of a pipe, a healthy, natural and unaffected biofilm can be built up, which remains stable when the pipe material is later used with clean water and guarantees inconspicuous microbiological findings.
